Roll Call Ayes (5)-Nayea (0) <br /> <br />A letter was read from Mr. W. Carpenter, 10,9 Burke, on the bad drainage <br />problem on Burke St. east of Isxington. Mr. CarleY' suggested the Council <br />go over the matter again with him and try to solve this problem.. Mr. <br />Carley said that he wou1.d be wj11ing to contact Mr. Carpenter to get ease- <br />ments signed to widen the street and drain off the water. <br /> <br />Attorney lDftsgaarden reported to the Council that the Attorney for Ernest <br />Markham. had. contacted him and. told him his client was now wi 11 ing to bUT <br />a license and submit a bond, if the 80uncil would issue the same. Mr. <br />lDftsgaard.en had promised the other Attorney that he would bring it before <br />the Council and see if they wanted to accept his license or if they wanted to <br />procieed with the trial. The Council decided the trial would go through. <br /> <br />Mr. Wm.. Stenger, a builder in Roseville, asked to have Dellwood Ave. <br />vacated. This road goes about 220 ft. south of Oakcrest. He was told <br />that it could not be done because Deliwood would eventually be put <br />through from T. H. 36. The Council authorized Mr. Carley to establish <br />the side yard grades for Mr. Stenger. <br /> <br />A petition was r8Cei ved by the Council to have the name of Shryer Ave. <br />changed to Woodside, between Fairview and .A1d1ne. It was decided the <br />name should remain Shryer Ave. because that Btreet continues in line <br />all the way to Rice. St. <br /> <br />The Clerk read. a letter from Geo. Sperl asking the Council to reconsider <br />their decision on the matter of issue1ng Christmas Tree licenses after <br />November 1. <br /> <br />Walter Uhler, owner of the Depot Nite Club, submitted. a letter to the <br />Council telling them that the Depot Hi te Club could be bought or renteè <br />for an On-Sale Liquor establishment. Olson moved, seconded by Willmus, <br />that the letter be referred to the committee that is to sltlect a site. <br />Roll Call Ayes (5)-Nayes (0). <br /> <br />Mr. Carley submitted his recommendations on the Struve Plat. He recom- <br />mended the plat be accepted subjedt to the Village Ordinance on estab- <br />lishing the streets, and subject to securing drainage easements.. <br />Hammersten moved, seconded by Olson that the plat be accepted. Reiling <br />garage, in 1ihich the inspector stated that necessary alterations have <br />been made according to his recommendations.
