<br />VILLAGE OF ROSE\TILIE <br />Regular meeting of the Village Council Tuesday October 19, 1954 2 :OOP. M. <br /> <br />The Village Council met on the above date with the following members <br />present: Carlson, Olson and Hammersten. Milner Carley, Village En- <br />gineer, and B. H. Loftsgaarden, Attorney, were also present. Willmus <br />and Salverda were absent. <br /> <br />Carlson moved, Olson seconded that the minutes of the previous meeting <br />be approved with the necessary corrections. Roll Call-Ayes 3-Neyes O. <br /> <br />Hammersten moved, Olson seconded that the bids on the watermain be opened. <br />Roll Call Ayes (3)-Nayes (0). <br /> <br />Three bids were received and the Clerk rç.d them to the Council. They <br />were as follows: <br />Peter Lametti & Co. $7,094.40 <br />Robert Ferris Co. 7,933.17 <br />Lametti & Sons 7,220.00 <br />Mr. Carley e.x:tlmiJ'led the bids and recommended the bid be awarded to Peter <br />Lametti & Co., providing the work èan be done this fall and it has the <br />approval of the St. Paul Water Dept. <br /> <br />Hammersten moved, seconded by Olson the bid be awarded to Peter Lametti <br />& Co. subject to Mr. Carleys' recommendations. Roll Call Ayes 3Nayes O. <br /> <br />Norman Magnuson of the Aladdin Improvement Co.~esented the Council with <br />a tentative plat which would be in the locality of Grandview & Lovell. <br />Mayor Olson suggested that Mr. Magnuson leave the sketch of the Plat with <br />Mr. Carley so it can be examined. <br /> <br />The Sinclair Refining Co. submitted plans and specifications for a ser- <br />vice station to be located on the IE corner of Snelling Ave. and Co. Rd. B. <br />Olson moved, Hammersten seconded the pennit be ø:ranted. Roll Call <br />Ayes (3)-Nayes (0). <br /> <br />The Clerk read a letter from the Ramsey County Land Commissioners with <br />reference to the classiti'ation and sale of tax forfeited land within <br />the Village of Rosevi1le. They also enclosed a resolution concerning <br />this matter. Hammersten moved~ seconded by Olson that the resolution <br />be adopted. Roll Call Ayes OJ-Hayes (0). <br /> <br />The Clerk read the following applications for licenses: <br />PIDMBING ROOFING EXCAVATING <br />Reuben Brown Gordon Thoen W. R. Oman he. <br /> <br />Olson moved, seconded by Carlson the licenses be approved. Roll Call <br />Ayes (3)-Nayes (0). <br /> <br />The Clerk read the Model Civil Defense Ordinance to the Council. <br />Hamm.ersten moved, seconded by Carlson, the Ordinance be adopted with <br />the omission of Section 13.
