<br />VILLAGE OF ROSEVILIE <br />Regular meeting of the Village 60uncil Tuesday Jan. 11, 1955 -8P.M. <br /> <br />The Village Council met on the above da§e with the following members <br />present; Carlson, Salverda, Olson, Willmus and Hammersten. Jeldin <br />Loftsgaarden, Attorney, and Milner Carley, Engineer, were also present. <br /> <br />569 <br /> <br />Willmus moved, seconded by Olson that the minutes ~f the previous meeting (minuetes <br />be approved. Roll Call Ayes (5)-Nayes (0). <br /> <br />The Clerk read the report of the Zoning Board on the matter of rezoning <br />a section of Pascal Ave. south of Rambler Road. Don Julen, speàking for <br />the Stepnitz Agency, who are the petitioners, stated what kind of double <br />bungalows were to be erected. <br /> <br />Paul Savage of 1446 Talisman Curve pointed out that he felt the rezoning <br />from farm residential to Class C residential was down grading the property. <br /> <br />Ray Barton of 2682 N. Pascal quoted from a zoning manual speaking against <br />the rezoning. <br /> <br />Keith Wilson of lh48 Rambler Road stated that he thought the rezoning should <br />be held off until an over-all zoning plan is worked out for Roseville. <br /> <br />Carlson moved, Hammersten seconded that the Council concu» with the rec- <br />ommendation of the Zoning Board to hold off the rezoning until the petit- <br />ioners presented plans and sketches of what is proposed, which they <br />promised to have ready for the February 8th meeting. Roll Call Ayes ($) <br />.l-'ayes (0). <br /> <br />The Engineer submitted a profile of the Manson Hills addition showing the <br />established grade for the Long Lake Rd. and also a profile which would <br />connect the street in this subdivision. These profiles show that the <br />development of this property will create a drainage problem at the in- <br />tersection of this proposed street and Long Lake Road. flIr. Carley pointed <br />out a couple of way s the drainage probl~ could be solved, aDd then <br />recommended the developer furnish the Village a drainage plan before the <br />stbeet is built. <br /> <br />Pascal Ave. <br />rezoning <br /> <br />Ì'lanson <br />Hills <br />addition <br /> <br />The Clerk read a letter from the Engineer in reference to the Burke St. <br />drainage. Olson moved, seconded by Hammersten the Engineer be authorized Burke St. <br />to prepare a complete grading plan for Burke St. east of Lexington and to <br />also look at several other points in the Village to be used for water <br />storage and to employ an appraiser when necessary. Roll Call Ayes (5)-Nayes(O). <br /> <br />) <br /> <br />Clinton Ratfield asked the Council if the final platting of the Sherren St <br />Addition had been approved. He was told the final plat had not been sub- <br />mitted as yet. <br /> <br />A petition for reaoning from Class A residential to Commercial was read by <br />the Clerk. This property is located on the SW corner of Hamline Ave. and <br />Judith for a distance of about 200 ft. Olson moved, Hammersten seconded <br />that the petition be accepted with the public hearing to be held on <br />February 1, ,1955 and the Zoning Board meeting on Jan. 31, 1955.
