The Engineer recommended approval of this plat sub- <br />ject to the following: <br />1- set back lines be placed on each corner lot 30 feet from each <br />of the two intersecting streets. <br />2- owners must agree to show drainage easements on the final plats <br />3- owner must deposit cash for engineering and a bond guaranteeing <br />the grading and stabilization of the streets <br />4- that approval be given by the Village Council on condition that <br />all rules and regulations contained in the ordinance governing <br />the construction of streets be complied with. <br /> <br />Olson moved, Willmus seconded that Arona Ave, between Transi5 an~ Snelling <br />be accepted and taken over for maintenance. Roll Call Ayes (5)-Nayes (0). <br /> <br />Mr. Carley explained that there are several things that should be changed <br />in the Street Construction Ordinance. Mayor Olson aPPÐinted a committee of <br />three to make a study of the Road Brdinance and suggest necessary changes. <br />The committee consists of Carley, Willmus and Salvelda. <br /> <br />Mr. Carley explained to the Council the proposed plan of storm-water and <br />drainage connection with the City of St. Paul. Olson moved, seconded by <br />Hammersten that necessary plans be drawn up to start negotiations with the <br />City of St. Paul. Roll Call Ayes (5)-Nayes (0). <br /> <br />The Clerk read a letter from a ~~. Ellerbee, Architect, who would like to <br />draw the plans for the On-Sale Liquor Store. It was placed on file. <br /> <br />Hammersten moved, Olson seconded that an assistant for the Building In- <br />spector be hired for the months of May through August if needQd. Roll <br />Call Ayes (5)-Nayes (0). <br /> <br />Hammersten moved, Carlson seconded that the Building Inspector be given <br />a pay increase of $50.00 a month effective February 1, 1955.
