Roll Call Ayes (3) -NB¥" es (0).
After some discussion in the matter of the streets in this Plat, the
Council, after finding that 6he work was bonded by the developer, agreed
to guarantee the construction and stabi1izatjon 6f the streets in the
North Ridge Plat 2.

Mr. Carley presented a letter to the Cmuncil in which he explained some
of the figures that were charged to Street }~tenance in the Finanaial
Report, which should have been distributed under other headings; but we
did not have enough headings in the statement to properly break do'WIl the
expenditures. Actually only about $48,347.77 should be directly charged
to Street Maintenance. This letter was placed on file for future reference
~or any interested party.

The Engineer submitted his recommendations on the Ed Bossard's Subdivision
located south of Roselavm and west of Iexington Ave. An easement must
be obtained opening the north 30 feet of Autumn St between the east
boundry line of the proposed plat and Lexington Ave. Mr. Bossard would
have to deposit $75.00 in cash for Engineering costs and also a bond in
the amount of $2,250.00 to guarantee the complete construction and stab-
ilization of the North i of Autumn st. west of Lexington. Harnmersten
moved, seconded byWillmus that the plat be accepted sUbjecjrtQ the
recommendations of the Engineer. Roll Call Ayes (3)-Nayes ,0).

It the February 1st meeting of the Council, Village Engineer Carley re-
ported on the progress being made in preparing plans for the construction
of a storm sewer which will drain a large part of the congested area
in the southern part of the Village into the St. Paul seT.¡er system.
The RoseviLle Village Council has been negotiating with the City of St.
paul for a connection imxinto the City Storm Sew&r System for some time.
Recently, the Council was informed that. it might be possible £0 enlarge
the new storm sewer which will be constructed by the City of St. Paul
to carry water south on Victoria Street from Larpenteur Ave. This sewer
is to be constructed by the City of St. Paul and it has been suggested
that the Village might cooperate with the City by paYing for the extra
cost mf increasing the diameter of this proposed sewer enough to include
a certain area of Roseville.
Three weeks ago, the Village Council instructed its engineer to complete
the dr~nage plans for this area in order to determine the exact bound-
, aries of the district to be served and also to determine the size. of
sewer pipe to be used a.nd the amount of water to be expected so that an
estimate could be made of the entire cost of the project.
It was stated at the meeting that this sto~ sewer would probably be con-
structed in stages over a period of two to three years depending uponthe
necessity for this improvement and the attitude of the people who will be
affected by it.
It was pointed out that the area has developed very repidly since we have
had any great amount of precipitation and that the drainage of this and
other areas must be accomplished as soon as possible to avoid very great
property damage when such rains and heavy snows occur.
A map showing the approximate boundary lines of the drainage district to
be served was presented

S?

Sherren
Drive

North Rid,
Plat 2

explaining
Financial
report

Ed. Bossa
Plat
