<br />VILbAGE OF ROSEVILLE <br />Regular meeting of the Village Council Tuesday April S, 19S5 2 p.l}1. <br /> <br />The Village Council met on the above date with the following members <br />present: Carlson, Salverda, Olson, Wil~nus ~~d Hammersten. B. H <br />Loftsgaarden, Attorney, and Donald Carley, Engineer, were also present. <br /> <br />Willmus moved, Carlson seconded that the minutes of the previous meeting <br />be apprmved as presented. Roll Call Ayes (S)-Nayes (0). <br /> <br />The Clerk read the notice to vacate the present Sherren St. turn-around. <br />As there were no objections, Hammersten moved, Olson seconded that the <br />turn-around be vacated. Roll Call Ayes (S)-Nayes (0). <br /> <br />The Clerk read the Zoning Board reco~~endation on the Paster Enterprises <br />rezoning of lSO ft. on Lexington Ave. south of Roma St. from residential <br />to com,ercial. Art Johnston of Roma St. and J\lrs. Richard \"Jeþber of <br />Dionne St. spoke for a group residents against the rezoning. Their one <br />big complaint was the manner in which the presBnt shopping center is <br />kept in regard to rubbish and ètc. They said it is no asset to the <br />surrounding property. Hammlersten moved, Willmus seconded that the <br />rezoning be held over for 2 weeks. Roll Call Ayes (S)Näyes (0). <br /> <br />H~~erspen moved, Carlson seconded that the rezoning be granted for <br />138 ft. on Rice St. south of the present filling station on the ffi~ <br />corner of Rice and Co. Rd. C and also that the plans be approved and a <br />permit be issued for the store to be erected. Roll CaL Ayes (S)-Nayes(O). <br /> <br />The Hinnesota State Highwpy Dept. submitted a resolution to be adopted <br />by the Village for construction af a bridge at Dale St. & TH 36. <br />Hæmrrersten moved, seconded by Carlson that the resolution be adopted. <br />Roll Call Ayes (S)-Nayes (0). <br /> <br />James Finley, Attorney for the Roseville Water Dept. Inc. CGco. Reiling) <br />presented a resolution giving Geo. Reiling the right to install and <br />maintain water pipes in certain streets in Roseville. A copy was <br />given to the Village Attorney and Engineer for checking before any <br />action is taken. <br /> <br />A representative from the Netalb~stos Co. and one from the Johns Hanville <br />Co. explained a few things about the Type B vent on chimneys. The <br />Village Heating Inspector, Chris Petersen, said a meeting will be held <br />to determine if this type of vent vdll be allowmd in Roseville. <br /> <br />A plat of the Dreher addition was submitted to the Council. HamYilersten <br />moved, Olson seconded that the Plat be referred to the Village Engineer/ <br />Roll Call Ayes (S)-Nayes (0). <br /> <br />Rudy Wolfgram of the Wolfgram Ins. Agency explained some insurance policies <br />he felt the Village would be interested in. Hayor Olson said it would <br />be t~en under consideration. <br /> <br />The matter of rezoning Lot 20 W:Jodlynn Park was brought up. The o-wner, <br />Mr. Gustafson, sttted they were opposed to the reaoning from Commercial <br />to \Class A Residential.
