<br />V:lILLAGE OF ROSEVILIE <br />Regular meeting of the Village Council Tuesday April 12, 1955 8 p.m. <br /> <br />The Village Council met on the above date with the following members <br />present. Carlson, Salverda, Olson, Willmus and Hammerstwn. B. H. <br />Loftsgaarden, Attorney, and Don Carley, Engineer, were also present. <br /> <br />The Clerk read a letter from the G. M. Gustafson Co. owners of Lot 20 <br />Woodlynn Park. They asked that the Council hold over the rezoning <br />of Lot 20 as they are negotiating sale of that property to Robert <br />Godfrey, and when the transaction is completed, the Council will be <br />notified. <br /> <br />The Council discussed the resolution that was submitted by the Roseville <br />Water Dept. Inc. It was held over for further study. <br /> <br />A petition was submitted for the rezoning of the followingdescribed <br />proþerty: The East 435 feet of the West ~ of the NE i of the NE i <br />of Sec 11, Town, 29, Range 23, except the East 200 feet of the North <br />218 feet and except the West 175 feet of the North 218 feet: excepting <br />public streets according to the lovernment survey thereof... on the <br />south side of Co. Rd. C between Dale & Victoria., from farm residential <br />to business. Carlson moved, Salverda seconded the petition be <br />accepted and the Pu.blic hearing be held on Nay 10, 1955 at 8 p.m. <br />Roll Call Ayes (5)-Nayes (Q). <br /> <br />A member of the St, Rose of Lima }lIens Club appeared before the Council <br />to ask permission to run weekly Bingo games starting April 21. Olson <br />moved, H~ersten seconded permission be granted. Roll Call Ayes (5)- <br />Nayes lo). <br /> <br />Rudy Wolfgram of the Wolfgram Ins. Co. asked if we had decided on <br />any Insurance Co. for insurance on the liquor s'§ores. He was told the <br />Council would like to eet figures from more companjes ßefore deciding. <br /> <br />Jack Adamson asked for a permit to erect a Drive-In restaurant on the <br />west side of Snelling Ave. about 375 ft. north of Go. Rd. B. Hammersten <br />moved, Willmus seconded the permit be granted, Roll Call Ayes (5)_Nayes (0). <br /> <br />}~. Caldwell of the Pure 011 Co. asked for permission to erect a service <br />station on the NW corner of Snelling and Co. Rd. B. Hammersten moved, <br />Carlson secondèd that Pure Oil Co. be granted permission to erect a <br />station on the ì~ corner of Snelling & Co. Rd. B. Roll Call Ayes (5)- <br />Nayes (0). <br /> <br />The attorneys for VictorBWanson asked in a letter if anything has been <br />decided in regard to the drainage problem affecting property on the <br />west side of Iexington south of Garden Ave. They wouM like to have <br />the property rezoned to Commercial but there are a few objections be- <br />cause of the drainage problem. Mr. :§on :fbxCarley stated he had <br />nothing further to repo~t at this time. <br /> <br />The Clerk reaè ä letter from Paster Enterprises in which they enclosed <br />a copy of a letter they sent to their tenants of the Lexington Plaza <br />in regard to the Ordinance relating to collectioh ~d disposal of <br />rubbish and garbage in Roseville, asking themr ~c60peration in Reeping <br />their placet clean. <br /> <br />597 <br /> <br />Lot 20, <br />Woodlynn <br />Park <br /> <br />rezoning <br />Co Rd.
