• Staff is working with an undergraduate student team from the University of Minnesota <br />through May to help implement a Gold Leaf action item. <br />• As part of the resiliency planning team, staff has been helping the Rice Creek <br />Watershed District plan for two upcoming Community Resilience Building <br />workshops on February 28 and March 22. <br />• Roseville applied for and was selected to take part in the EV Smart Cities program <br />through the Great Plains Institute, with the first kick-off meeting taking place on <br />February 28. This free program provides cities with technical assistance and a <br />roadmap to electric vehicle readiness, including how to secure funding and implement <br />projects. <br />• Staff completed applications for an MPCA Community Resilience Planning grant, <br />requesting funds for implementing a Climate Action Plan, and an MPCA Level 2 EV <br />Charging grant to install two dual -port EV charging stations at City Hall. <br />Major Maintenance Activities: <br />• Street and Storm <br />o We have had an additional 2 1 " and 7 additional plow callouts since the time <br />period of 11/29/22 thru 1/17/23. Season total to date is pushing 70". <br />o Ongoing benching, snow blowing and hauling will continue. <br />o Ongoing sign work related to winter conditions will continue. <br />o Six additional water breaks that Street Maintenance hauled and put temporary <br />patches on. Ongoing monitoring of patch conditions until staff can replace <br />with permanent patches Spring 2023. <br />0 <br />Water and Sanitary Sewer <br />o Located City -owned facilities for Gopher State One Call locate requests. <br />o Made weekly site visits to all lift stations. <br />o Continued repairing water meters and MIUs. <br />o Ten (10) repairs on our water main system since the first of the year. <br />o New utility worker started on February 22. <br />o Removed ice dams at the License Center and at the Maintenance Facility. <br />o Took delivery of new F-350 with plow and lift gate. <br />o New crane truck is expected to be delivered in six weeks. This will be used to <br />perform maintenance on lift station pumps. <br />o Annual fire system testing at City facilities. <br />0 Page 3 <br />
