Salverda asked if a loader on rubber wheels <br />would not be better to purchase. It has its advantage for mobility but <br />you cannot get out of sand as readily when the bucket is leaded. The <br />road crew plan on building a trailer to haul the loader around on. Mr. <br />Pierce of Borchert-Ingersoll said a larger loader on rubber wo' .ld have <br />to be a four wheel drive and would r~n about $9800.00 They sell both <br />kinds but felt a tractor type would be better for our use. <br /> <br />Willmus moved, seconded by Carlson that we purdhase a Caterpiller tractor <br />for Village use, at $11,585.00. If trencher was wanted cost would be <br />$13,260.00. Ron Call Ayes,vlillmus-Carlson Nayes-Salverda,Olson,Hammersten. <br /> <br />Hammersten moved, seconded by Olson that we purchase the Allis-Chalmers <br />loader from Borchert-InGersoll low bidder at $10,430.00 and retain our <br />present rubber tired loader. It <br />was placed on file. <br /> <br />Olson moved, seconded by Carlson that the Clerk advertise for bids on <br />Hot Oil heating system for the oil tanks and that bids be opened at 2 p.m. <br />Tuesday June 7.
