The StormwaterManagement Overlay District shall
6 include all land either within one hundred (100) feet of thenormal water
7 level of constructed stormwaterponds or wetlands managed for
8 stormwaterquantity and quality management purposes, or all land below
9 the 100-year flood elevation of such ponds or wetlands, whichever is
10 most restrictive.
11 B.StormwaterA manmade pond capable of holding
12 water seasonally or permanently, the purpose of which is to collect
13 runoff, nutrients, and sediment prior to releasing water into wetlands and
14 natural water bodies.
15 C.Lot Standards. All lots within the StormwaterManagement Overlay
16 District shall met the following setbacks:
17
STRUCTURE SETBACKS FROM STORM POND
Type of Water Structure Setback from Water BodyRoads, Driveway, Parking and Other Impervious
BodySurface or Setback
12
Storm Pond10 Ft. 10 Ft.
\[JF4\]\[RJ5\]
18
19 D.General Standards:
20 1.Existing Natural Drainageways: When possible, existing natural
21 drainageways, and vegetated soil surfaces shall be used to convey, store,
22 filter, and retain stormwaterrunoff before discharge to public waters.
23 2.Minimum Disturbance: Development shall be planned and conducted in
24 a manner that will minimize the extent of disturbed areas, runoff
25 velocities, erosion potential, and reduce and delay runoff volumes.
26 Disturbed areas shall be stabilized and protected as soon as possible and
27 facilities or methods used to retain sediment on the site.
28 3.Constructed Facilities: When development density, topographic features,
29 and soil and vegetation conditions are not sufficient to adequately handle
30 stormwaterrunoff using natural features and vegetation, various types of
31 constructed facilities such as diversions, settling basins, skimming
32 devices, dikes, waterways, and ponds may be used. Preference shall be
33 given to designs using surface drainage, vegetation, and infiltration
34 rather than buried pipes and manmade materials and facilities.
35 E.Specific Standards:
36 1.Impervious Surface Coverage: Impervious surface coverage of a site
37 shall not exceed 25% of the site area in a shoreland or wetland
38 overlay\[JF6\]district unlessstormwateris conveyed to an approved, on-
2
