Regular City Council Meeting <br /> Monday, March 13, 2023 <br /> Page 6 <br /> Council Discussion <br /> Councilmember Etten thought Every Meal did a fantastic job of feeding kids across <br /> the Twin Cities as well as in the Roseville area schools. He appreciates that Every <br /> Meal would be able to increase their ability to help kids. <br /> Councilmember Groff indicated kids do better when they have food in their <br /> stomachs and can learn. He indicated he was all for it. <br /> Mayor Roe noted Every Meal is the City's partner in its food distribution that has <br /> been done at the Fire Station and elsewhere in the City which was very much <br /> appreciated. <br /> Roll Call <br /> Ayes: Groff, Strahan, Etten, Schroeder, and Roe. <br /> Nays: None <br /> 8. Council Direction on Councilmember Initiated Agenda Items <br /> 9. Approve Minutes <br /> 10. Approve Consent Agenda <br /> 11. Future Agenda Review, Communications, Reports, and Announcements — Council <br /> and City Manager <br /> City Manager Patrick Trudgeon reviewed the March 20, 2023 City Council meeting, <br /> April 10, 2023 City Council meeting and the April 17, 2023 City Council meeting. <br /> Councilmember Etten asked if staff could add to the March 20th meeting as the Council <br /> talks about potentially awarding grants of ARPA funds to non-profits, to get an update on <br /> the whole package, where the City is at with committed expenses, planned expenses, and <br /> money that is not allocated. He thought that would be very helpful to get a big picture on <br /> that. <br /> Without objection, Mayor Roe noted the council concurred with Councilmember Etten's <br /> agenda item request for March 20,bypassing the rule requiring council direction prior to <br /> placement of an item on an agenda. <br /> Councilmember Etten stated for a future agenda, he would like the City Council to <br /> consider opening the door for the Commissions to reconsider how their Commissions or <br /> an adjusted Commission or even "ad hoc" committees could work better to serve the <br /> needs they see for the City and the City Council by examining their scope and duties, the <br />
