<br />78 micro-unit dwellings on land owned or contiguous to the grounds of a religious <br />79 institution’s primary worship location primarily for the purpose of providing permanent <br />80 housing for chronically homeless persons, extremely low-income persons, and <br />81 designated volunteers,and <br />82 3) If the State legislation is passed, PoP submits their Interim Use application by June 2, <br />83 2023, which would provide the basis to allow the micro-units to remain until the <br />84 January 1, 2024 effective date of the legislation. <br />85 <br />86 If the Council is not inclined to grant the extension, the 60-day compliance date (May 5, 2023) <br />87 approved during the March 6, 2023 meeting of the Board of Adjustment and Appeals would remain <br />88 inforce. Given the status of the State legislation, staff would recommend the micro-units only be <br />89 required to be vacated by May 5, 2023 and not be used for any type of occupancy after that date, and <br />90 allow the actual micro-unit to remain on the property until it is known whether the State legislation <br />91 passesor not. <br />92 R EQUESTED C OUNCIL A CTION <br />93 By motion, either approve or deny the requested extension.
