Regular City Council Meeting Monday,June 5,2023 Page 3 Mayor Roe indicated staff has requested the City Council table the action on Resolution D at this time. Councilmember Strahan asked if staff could clarify the concern of the resident who was not able to reach out regarding the trail rights, what it means, if that actually vacates ability to put trails through area, and what that entails. Ms. Smith explained there is a County trail that starts where Millwood Avenue ends. Her understanding was that the resident was concerned a vacation may affect the ability of the County to continue to maintain that trail and for the public to be able to use that trail. Staff is asking the Council to table this item in order for staff to have more time to take a look at it and see if the vacation may need to be adjusted to ensure that those rights are maintained. Strahan moved, Schroeder seconded, tabling Attachment D entitled, "Resolution Approving the Vacation of a Portion of Millwood Avenue that Lies Westerly of Chatsworth Street in Lake Josephine Park."
