<br />VILLAGE OF ROSEVII.IE <br /> <br />Regular aeeting of the Village Council Tuesday October 4, 1955 2 p.m. <br /> <br />The Village Council met on the above date with the following members <br />present: Carlson, Salverda, Olson and Bamersten. B. H. loftsgaarden, <br />attorney, 2:Iat was also present. Willmus aDsent. <br /> <br />Carlson moveå, Hammersten seconded the minutes of the previous meeting <br />be approved with correction. Roll Ayes 4 Hayes 0 <br /> <br />Merv. Tretter from the Northem States Power Co. appeared before the <br />Council to explain thj nn gas rate increase within the Village. <br />He stated the rate would raise for consumers who do not house heat- <br />2¢-3; a day--and those who do house heat with gas about $1.50 month. <br /> <br />~oyd Barnes ot 2255 Merrill asked per.mission to erect a garage 6 ft. <br />from the blri. It would. be in line vith the other structures in the <br />vicinity. !he Council said they would check and report back. <br /> <br />Mr. Moses of 2836 Huron asked to he able to hold a 15 foot set-back <br />on Terrace Drive with his garage. Olson moved, Carlson seconded the <br />permission be granted. Roll ~s 4--N83"es 0 <br /> <br />The Clerk read a letter from Falcon Heights in dich they stated the <br />question of Falcon Heights being included with respect to installation <br />of the main interceptor sewer line vas referred to their li'ngineers, <br />Toltz, King & Day Inc. for study. <br /> <br />The Northwestèrn Bell Telephone Co. liiubmitted an application for per- <br />mission to place a buried cable crossing N. HcCarrons Bl'Yd. to Cohan..y <br />Blvà. This plan will be checked with our proposed sever line. <br /> <br />Geo. .MembNs, secretary of the Planning Commission, submitted a letter <br />from the Planning Commissionithich the Commission had passed a motiãn <br />suggesting a 1 m111 increase in the budget for purchasing of land for <br />recreational purposes. The Council agreed they would try to work it <br />into the budget. <br /> <br />Gee. Reiling of the Rosevi1le Water Dept. Inc. requested permissio¡). <br />to cross Oxferè St. at Co. M. C with extea'\ion of a water main. His <br />water Dept. will take 1'u1l responsibility of the crossing and the <br />street will be repairjd to it. original condition. Olson moved, <br />Carlson seconded that Reiling be a11.Øwed to cross Oxford. Roll Call <br />Ayes 4 - Hayes o. <br /> <br />A letter was received from Robert D. Berg in regard to lets 1 & 2, <br />Boa.rc:brum&s Five Acre lots, on the matter of designating a street <br />along the north line of these lots. It was placed on file until <br />easements were obtained. <br /> <br />A letter was received from Tayla»-MCCaskill and Co., auditors for the <br />Liquor stores, requesting a *25.00 a month increase for their work <br />inasmuch as the sales for the stores have doubled since they took over <br />at the end of 1951.
