3. Flags <br /> 4. Garage/Yard Sale Signs: The sign shall only be displayed during the <br /> term of the sale and must be removed when the sale is completed. <br /> 5. Holiday signs may be displayed over a period not to exceed a total of <br /> 60 days per calendar year. The aggregate total area of such signs <br /> shall not exceed 50 square feet. <br /> 6. Political signs to the extent that the following criteria are met: <br /> a. In years when a state general election is held, political signs <br /> may be posted 46 days before the primary election (Ord. <br /> 1500, 5-10-2016) until 10 days following the state general <br /> election. Any such signs must be removed by those <br /> responsible for their being posted. <br /> b. In years when no state general election is held, if there is a <br /> primary for any office, political signs for all offices may be <br /> posted no more than 21 46 days the primary election. When <br /> there is no primary for any office, such signs may be posted <br /> not more than 24-46 days before the general election. All such <br /> signs must be removed by those responsible for their being <br /> posted within five days following the general election. Said <br /> political signs shall not exceed 12 square feet gross area. <br /> c. Political signs shall be set back at least 15 feet from the <br /> outside edge of any street or back of curb of all City and <br /> county streets. <br /> d. Political signs shall not be placed so as to cause a hazard to <br /> public safety. <br /> e. Political signs shall not be placed on any property without <br /> permission of the property owner. <br /> f. Political signs shall not be located on any city owned <br /> Property. <br /> g. Signs in violation of the above provisions may be removed by <br /> city staff and stored for two weeks. After two weeks, <br /> unclaimed signs will be disposed of by the city. <br /> Underline indicates new language, strikethrough indicates removed language <br />
