hydrofluoric acid. She indicated she would be happy to send the data sheet to the
Commission.

Member Hodder asked about the PEAS issue and microplastics and how these will
be addressed going forward in the future.

Ms. Chen updated the Commission on microplastics and did not believe there will
be any future issues with microplastics, but she indicated PEAS will be an issue
because the current treatment process, including the update being done, will not
include the PEAS issue because the chemical structure itself does not react, attach,
or degrade by logical processes. She reviewed an ion exchange process that would
deal with the PEAS issue if installed in the future, which is very costly.

6. Climate Action Plan Update
Sustainability Specialist Noelle Bakken and Sustainability Interns Andrea Ray and
Raynell Hong updated the Commission on the Climate Action Plan.

Member Mueller thought this was a great presentation and what the City is doing
as well as helping the greater area outside of Roseville.

Member Hodder explained he likes to see the students involved in the process. He
stated the focus on the equity measures is very important.

Chair Ficek asked what the Commission can do in advance to prepare for the
climate action frame.

Ms. Bakken explained she planned on continuing to provide updates on the process,
especially if there are events, she thought it would be nice to have the Commission
there to do some outreach. She would also like feedback from the Commission on
how they are doing.

Chair Ficek thanked staff for the presentation.

7. City Council Joint Meeting Review
Public Works Director Jesse Freihammer provided an update to the Commission
on the joint City Council meeting.

Chair Ficek thought attachment three is a good one to discuss and he wondered if
there are other topics the Commission would like to discuss.

Mr. Freihammer explained a few other topics that have occurred in the past that
could be discussed are maintenance funding, solar production analysis and audit,
ideal street design standards and overall urban forestry and Emerald Ash Borer
update.
