Roseville Public Works, Environment and Transportation Commission <br />Agenda Item <br />DATE: August 22, 2023 ITEM: 8.a. <br />ITEM DESCRIPTION: Street Design Standards <br />Background <br />There are various ordinances, statutes, standards, guidelines, and best practices regarding the design of <br />streets, pathways, boulevards, and streetscapes. Below are references to some standards Engineering <br />typically references in the design of retrofit, reconditioning, and reconstruction projects. <br />City <br />State <br />Other <br />1. Ordinances - see Attachment 1 for some existing ordinance language associated with street <br />design <br />2. Policies - see Attachment 2 for the City's Complete Streets Policy <br />3. Transportation Plan and Master Plans <br />4. Practices <br />1. Statutes — see Attachment 3 for a portion of the standards that apply to our reconstruction on our <br />Municipal State Aid (MSA) roads <br />1. Ramsey County <br />2. NACTO <br />3.
