Projects Led by Others: <br />o Old Highway 8 Project (Ramsey County) <br />• Project is from County Road D going north into New Brighton. During Phase 2, <br />from July 26 to October 27, the road will be closed from County Road E to <br />I' Street SW in New Brighton. <br />o Highway 88 (Hennepin County) <br />• Roads are open, but Hwy 88 has turn lanes closures. <br />o Oakcrest Avenue from Fairview Avenue to Snelling Avenue (Xcel gas) <br />• Completed work that was coordinated with our PMP project. <br />o Cleveland Avenue from County Road C to Lydia Avenue (Xcel gas) <br />• Still underway with northbound lane shifts in place. <br />Victoria Street from County Road C2 to Orchard Lane (private) <br />• The Victoria Shores development has road closures on Victoria Street and <br />Orchard Lane scheduled September 25-October 9 to make private sewer and <br />water connections. <br />Council Update: <br />o Below is a highlight of items recently presented to and/or acted on by the City <br />Council. More information can be found in the agenda packets and minutes for the <br />referenced Council meetings: <br />September 11 <br />Considered Appointments to Various City Commissions (incl. PWET). <br />September 18 <br />MnDOT Presentation on the Hwy 36 Transportation Study. <br />September 25 — planned <br />Accept Public Improvements Related to the Lexington Plaza Project <br />Agreement. <br />• Approve Quote for 2023 Sewer Televising. <br />• Approve Construction Cooperation Agreement with Arden Hills for <br />Hamile Avenue Watermain. <br />• Accept Public Improvements Related to the Midland Legacy Estate <br />Public Improvement Contract. <br />• Approve Street Name Change Policy. <br />Sustainability Updates: <br />o Staff attended the Falcon Heights Environmental Commission meeting on 9/ 11 and <br />the Lauderdale City Council meeting on 9/12 to present on and discuss our <br />sustainability work, Partners in Energy program, and potential ways for our cities to <br />collaborate on sustainability in the future. <br />o Staff attended the Wild Rice Festival at the Harriet Alexander Nature Center on 9/18 <br />with an interactive game about recycling and solid waste, and multiple <br />prizes/giveaways including LED light bulbs, LED night lights, and pollinator and <br />herb seed packets. Over 450 attendees interacted with the sustainability table. <br />o Staff collaborated with Friends of Roseville Parks to make Tapped & Uncorked on <br />9/22 a zero waste event for the second year in a row, coordinating volunteers, food <br />truck vendors, waste stations, and food service materials to ensure most waste <br />produced by the event was either recyclable or compostable. <br />• Page 2 <br />Page 16 of 89 <br />
