City of <br /> IØSEVII LE <br /> Minnesota,USA <br /> Regular City Council Meeting Minutes <br /> City Hall Council Chambers, 2660 Civic Center Drive <br /> Monday, October 9, 2023 <br /> Roll Call <br /> Mayor Roe called the meeting to order at approximately 6:00 p.m. Voting and Seating <br /> Order: Etten, Schroeder, Groff, Strahan, and Roe. City Manager Patrick Trudgeon and <br /> City Attorney Rachel Tierney were also present. <br /> 2. Pledge of Allegiance <br /> 3. Approve Agenda <br /> Schroeder moved, Groff seconded, approval of the agenda as presented. <br /> Roll Call <br /> Ayes: Etten, Schroeder, Groff, Strahan, and Roe. <br /> Nays: None. <br /> 4. Public Comment <br /> Mayor Roe called for public comment by members of the audience on any non-agenda <br /> items that related to city business. Four online participants were recognized to speak, but <br /> each proceeded in turn to make remarks that were not relevant or appropriate to the City <br /> Council's criteria for Public Comment, and Mayor Roe ended each of their opportunities <br /> to continue speaking. The identities and locations of the speakers were suspicious and <br /> could not be verified. Therefore those speakers and their remarks are not being included <br /> in this public meeting record. <br /> 5. Recognitions, Donations, and Communications <br /> a. Adopt a Resolution to Accept Roseville Police Foundation Donation <br /> Police Chief Erika Scheider explained the Roseville Police Foundation is a local <br /> foundation that supports and provides additional resources to the Roseville Police <br /> Department in an effort to enhance the Department's capacity to provide quality <br /> services to all Roseville community members through outreach initiatives, the <br /> pursuit of innovative training, and through the acquisition of supplemental <br /> equipment and technology. She explained the Police Department is seeking to <br /> purchase replacements for obsolescent covert cameras and accessories with the <br /> donation.The cameras are useful to obtain evidence in certain police investigations. <br /> Public Comment <br /> Mayor Roe offered an opportunity for public comment with no one coming <br /> forward. <br />
