irrigation controls and communication with the irrigation are located in the City <br />right-of-way and has been there many years and has an agreement with the City to <br />have the controls within the right-of-way. He explained when they saw the <br />proposed plan moved onto the golf course it was going to be something like two <br />hundred fifty -thousand -dollar expense to the golf course and they did not think the <br />benefit to the community was worth it. Clearly four stop signs at a couple hundred <br />dollars per sign versus two hundred fifty thousand dollars is a better economic trade <br />off. He explained the golf course is highly in favor of this and recommend it. <br />Mr. Lawrance Bell, president of Midland Hills Golf Course, indicated they have <br />been working the Public Works Department on the entire street because a lot of the <br />water is coming from the street onto their catch ponds on the course. He explained <br />this does impose an expense on the golf course because they need to reconstruct a <br />part of the course that they just spent money on fixing in 2020. He asked that the <br />City consider the fact that the traffic at the intersection has decreased and is not a <br />dangerous intersection and there are about fourteen homes on the backside that <br />come outthere. He appreciated staffs work on this project. <br />Staff reviewed previous plans with the Commission with revisions that have been <br />made to mitigate the concerns of the golf course. <br />Motion <br />Member Cicha moved, Member Hodder seconded, to recommend the City <br />Council to move forward with the current plan presented. <br />Ayes: 5 <br />Nays: 0 <br />Motion carried. <br />The PWETC recessed at 8:05 p.m. and reconvened at 8:10 p.m. <br />TH 36 Update <br />Assistant Public Works Director/City Engineer Jennifer Lowry presented the TH <br />36 update to the Commission and asked for feedback <br />Vice Chair Mueller indicated she was glad this plan is touching on the <br />crossover/underpass at Dale because it is very dangerous going under Hwy 36. She <br />wondered what their thoughts are on this. She thanked staff for the presentation <br />and indicated if the Commission wanted more information the video can be seen <br />online. <br />8. Lead Free Roseville <br />Public Works Director Jesse Freihammer explained the Minnesota Department of <br />Health is requiring all public water systems with over 10,000 services to document <br />what material the water service to the homes and businesses are made of.
