City of Roseville <br /> ORDINANCE NO. 1648 <br /> AN ORDINANCE AMENDING TITLE 8, SECTION 802.12 <br /> RATES AND CHARGES RELATING TO SEWER RATES AND <br /> CHARGES <br /> THE CITY OF ROSEVILLE ORDAINS: <br /> SECTION 1: Title 8, Section 802.12 of the Roseville City Code is <br /> amended to read as follows: <br /> 802.12: RATES AND CHARGES: <br /> A. Charges for Use: A charge is hereby imposed upon every person whose <br /> premises are served, either directly or indirectly, by the sanitary sewer system <br /> within the City, for the use of the facilities of said sewer system and for <br /> connection to the system. Such charges shall be in an amount set by the Council <br /> and shall be kept on file in the City Manager's office in the form of a rate <br /> schedule. <br /> B. Supplemental Charges for Industrial Sewage Wastes: In respect to property <br /> which shall be connected to the City sewer for the disposal of industrial sewage <br /> wastes, which shall by virtue of its strength and volume be subject to <br /> supplementary charges by the Metropolitan Council Environmental Services, the <br /> City may impose a supplemental charge based generally upon and at least equal to <br /> the amount of the Metropolitan Council Environmental Services. <br /> C. Payment of Charges: Any prepayment or overpayment of charges may be <br /> retained by the City and applied on subsequent quarterly statements. <br /> D. Penalty for Late Payment: Each quarterly billing for sewer charges not paid <br /> when due shall incur a penalty charge of ten percent of the amount past due. <br /> Accumulated interest upon unpaid accounts will compound quarterly. <br /> E.Action to Collect Charges:Any amount in excess of ninety 90 days past due for <br /> sewer charges, including Metropolitan Council Environmental Services sewer <br /> charges, in excess f ninety 90 days p st d„e shall may be certified to the County <br /> Auditor for collection with real estate taxes at an annual interest rate as <br /> established in the Fee Schedule. In addition, all amounts certified shall include an <br /> additional fee as established in the Fee Schedule to cover the City's costs of <br /> certification.
