Appoint Acting Mayor for 2024 <br /> City Manager Patrick Trudgeon briefly highlighted this item as detailed in the <br /> Request for Council Action and related attachments dated January 8, 2024. <br /> Councilmember Schroeder nominated Councilmember Etten for Acting Mayor for <br /> 2024. <br /> Councilmember Etten indicated he was going to decline the nomination because <br /> the normal practice has been to not have the Acting Mayor be someone who is <br /> eligible to run for office or running for office. Given that, he wanted to nominate <br /> Councilmember Groff for Acting Mayor. <br /> Councilmember Groff accepted the nomination. <br /> Etten moved, Strahan seconded, designating Councilmember Groff as Acting <br /> Mayor for 2024. <br /> Roll Call <br /> Ayes: Etten, Schroeder, Groff, Strahan, and Roe. <br /> Nays: None <br /> g.
