<br />VILIAGE OF ROSEVILIE <br />Regular meeting of the Village Council March 6, 1956 2 p.m. <br /> <br />The Village Council met on the above date with the following members <br />present: Carlson, Salverda, Kitts, McGee and Hammersten. Robert Gearin, <br />attorney, was also present. <br /> <br />Carlson moved, Salverda seconded the minutes of the February 21st and <br />24th meetings be approved as presented. Roll Call Ayes (5)-Nayes (0). <br /> <br />Hammersten moved, Carlson seconded the bids on carpeting be opened. <br />Roll Call Ayes (5)-Nayes (0). <br />Bids were received from: <br />St. Paul Linoleum & Carpet Co. <br />Golden Rule <br />Grace Klahn Interiors <br />McGEE MOVED, HAMMERSTEN SECONDED the bids be referred to the architect <br />for tabulating and recommendation at the next council meeting. Roll <br />Call Ayes (5)-Nayes (0). <br /> <br />HAMMERSTEN MûVED, CARLSON SECONDED bids on Diesel Fuel be opened. Roll <br />Call Ayes (5)..Nayes ~) <br />Bids were received from: <br />Phillips Pe;t;roleum Co. <br />Pure Oil Co. <br />IW1MERSTEN MOVED, MCGE& SECONDED THE bids be referred to the Engineer <br />for tabulating. Roll Call Ayes (5)-Nayes (0). <br /> <br />The Planning COlJID1ission report was read. in regard to the change in <br />set-back of the Schultz property which was zoned Industrial in Nov. 1955. <br />At that time it provi.ded for a 250 ft. set-back from the west line of <br />Raymond Ave. A request had been made to change this set-back to 75 ft. <br />The Planning Commission recommedlied a 150 ft. set-back but stated they <br />were having Village P1.annår, J.l.1r. Carl Gadner, look at the tract when <br />he gets in town. <br />HMJMERSTEN MOVED, CARlSON SECONDED THE matter be tabled until the next <br />meting at which time Mr. Gardner will have had a chance to look at <br />the property. Roll Call Ayes (5)-Nayes (0). <br /> <br />The Planning Commission gave their report on the follodng plats that <br />had. been referred to them; <br />Hedlunds Plat--recommended approval but suggested that Carl Gardner, <br />planning consultant, give it final review Mar. 9. <br />Green Meadow Plat-- tabled for further study by Carl Gardner <br />Roseville Terrace Plat 9-- recommended approval but suggested <br />.. planning consultant give it :final review on Mar. 9. <br />Centennial 1errace Plat-- Decided to defer an opinion until Mø 9 <br />at planning commission special meeting to discuss the <br />plat with Clifford Imld, owner, and planning con- <br />sultant. <br /> <br />Correspondence was received from the Northern Pacific Railway Co. in <br />answer to our letter of Feb. 24 in which the Village requested that <br />a flasher signal be installed at the intersection of Hamline Ave. and <br />the N. P. tracks.
