�� ; <br />December 5, 1983 <br />�'O : <br />�'ROM : <br />Planning Commission Memb�rs <br />Ron Moorse�, Administrative Assistant <br />0 <br />SUBJECT: Margolis Brothers Company Compliance With Special Use Permit Conditions <br />At the November 2, 1983 Planning Commission meeting, + he Commissi�n requested i.n- <br />foi^mation concernir�g Margolis Brothers Company's compiiance with the conditions of <br />its existing special use permit. Gordon Beseth, Chief Code Enforcement Officer, <br />and T have inspected the site to determine compliance with the existi.ng special us�=_ <br />perr,v.t conditions, and have found several areas of noncompliance. <br />T►�.e c:onditions attached to the special use permit are as follows: <br />1) Th�;t the City of Roseville be permitted unlimited access t� the City park <br />loc,�ted adjacent to thp Margolis property across the northerly 460' of the <br />Marcrolxs property. <br />2) That a chain link fence be constructed around Lhe above-ground growing area <br />immediately, and that the in-ground g.rowing area be :�enced by September 1, 1976. <br />3) That no retail sales be permi.tted. <br />4) That the southwest coi-ner of the equipment storage area be located 60 feet north <br />of the south propPrty line and 60 feet east of the west property line, and that <br />the total equipment storage area be limi.ted to an area 180 feet by 80 feet, and <br />that the equipment storage area be screened from view on the south and east, <br />with permanent plantings along �altier. <br />Conditions 1 an.d 3 have been complied with. <br />Condition 2 has been complied with, except that a section of the fance on the south- <br />easterly corner of the site is in disrepair. <br />The �c�uipment storage area is larger than is specified in condition 4. The existing <br />equiprnent s��rage are a is app roximately 180 fe�t by 130 feet. It appears the existing <br />trees at the south end of Galtier provide adequate screening of the equipment storaq� <br />area during �Yie summer months. - <br />In addition to �:he conditions placed on the �pproval of the special use permit <br />Margolis Brothers Company is also responsible for using the site in accordancel <br />with the plan submitted with the application for special use permit. The actua]. <br />screening and the actual l�cation of structures and mate rials on the site do not <br />comply with the plan in several instances. <br />
