Thi. si�ould reduce �confliets at this location„ i�e are <br />aZso in the process of stuciying the elimination of this cro�sover. To thi• <br />end we have had discussions �vith Bethe7 Coliege and the Public Service <br />Cwamissaon. <br />I� analyxing the problems associated with T.H. SI traffi� and the data at <br />mavs co2lected, we would like to make the foilowing prQposal s <br />I. The Department �rill �nstall � temporazy traffic signal at the <br />P <br />intersection of T.H, SI and Hamlfne Avenue (County State A�id <br />Higt�way 50). The signal will�include overhead ind�eation�� left <br />turn si�nals and street lighting. <br />2o The present median apenings at Wood3yn Avenue snd Glenhill Road <br />be closed. <br />3. The Village of Arden Hills, the 54ate� and Ramsey County coap�rate <br />to amprove alt�rnate access 4o the Arden Hflls Industrial Area in <br />order to reduce or elimin�t� pot�ntial problems at T.H. 51 and the <br />BethQl Crossover. <br />Our proposal is based on future increased volume� on Hamlfn� Avenue ar�d �he <br />placing o� a signal to help create gaps in tra�fic at other entrancQs to <br />T.H. SZ as at Lydia Avenue. This proposal i� on2y a tem�orary measure and <br />ultimate safety to residents and motorists will be �ehiev�d ��nly �hen vehiol� <br />conflicts are removed.
