CIO
October 19, 1984
MEMORANDUM
paul pink and associates, ince
TO: DICK DREHL
FROH: IAN MACTAVISH
RE: PAVILION PLACE
COMMISSION NO. 810241
SUBJECT: MEETING WITH NEIGHBORS ON OCTOBER 15, 1984
The purpose of this meeting was to describe changes to the above -referenced
project and to solicit neighbor input. The following was discussed:
1. Dick Dreher described the two major i;!odifications to the project as
fol lows:
-One floor was eliminated for the mall building.
-The parking ramp was eliminated.
2. The neighbors expressed concern that service area noise be controlled.
Semi -truck delivery was not anticipated by American Redevelopers, Inc.,
based on the size and type of tenants planned for the project. Waste
handling vehicles could create some noise problems. Dick Dreher sug-
gested that American Redevelopers would specify in the garbage service
contract that haulers pick up after 8:00 a.m., or per the Koseville
Noise Ordinance.
3. The neighbors seem to accept the orientation and screening of the
service courts (specifically the north service court).
4. The earth berm and landscaping were further described by this author.
5. It was decided that a chain;Uink fence (6'-0" high, and preferably
vinyl coated) be provided by'lhe Developer at the north property line
and. closing to the north east corner of the mall building. The neigh-
bors reserve the option not to have the fence installed by contacting
Dick prior to project completion.
6. The neighbors expressed a concern for drainage and soil erosion control
during construction. This author stated that the Watershed District
has requirements regarding the above, and these precautions will be
incorporated into the drainage plan submitted for Watershed District
approval.
430 oak grove • suite 306 a minneapolis, minnesota 55403 • (612) 871-5815
architecture . planning . interior design
