1 <br />DIVISION 1 <br />GENERAL REQUIREMENTS <br />01500 - TEMPORARY FACILITIES <br />1. GENERAL <br />1 A This Section covers the furnishing of all labor, materials, tools, <br />equipment, and performing all work and services to provide all temporary <br />facilities and subsequent removal as shown on the drawings and as <br />' specified, in accord with the provisions of Contract Documents, and <br />completely coordinated with work of all other trades. <br />B. Although such work is not specifically indicated, furnish and install all <br />supplementary or miscellaneous items, appurtenances and devices incidental <br />to or necessary for a sound, secure and complete installation. <br />C. No separate payment will be made for any work under this Section. <br />2. CODE COMPLIANCE <br />strict accord with the <br />A. Accomplish work under this section in s Department of <br />Labor -Occupational Safety and Health Administration Standards, State <br />Industrial Safety Codes, Applicable Local Codes and Ordinances, National <br />Electrical Code and State Plumbing Code. <br />3. COLD WEATHER PROTECTION AND TEMPORARY HEAT <br />' ' <br />A. Heating requirements during construction are divided into two classes. <br />1. All heating required during construction period prior to enclosure of <br />building, classified as "Cold Weather Protection". Such heat shall be <br />furnished by each subcontractor requiring it. Use heating units of <br />types approved by Architect and conforming to safety codes. Keep <br />equipment and surroundings in a clean and safe condition. <br />2. Building shall be considered as enclosed when it has such protection <br />' <br />at doorways, windows, and other openings which will provide a <br />have a heating <br />reasonable heat retention. General Contractor shall <br />system in readiness for furnishing temporary heat at time building is <br />enclosed. General Contractor shall hire an electrician to make all <br />r <br />temporary electrical connections and disconnect temporary connections <br />at completion of temporary heating period. General Contractor shall <br />operate system, furnishing necessary labor and supervision, and be <br />responsible for temporary heating system and its operation. Except as <br />between 500 and <br />otherwise specified, maintain a minimum temperature <br />750 F. in building at all times. General Contractor shall, at his <br />expense, furnish, install, connect, and operate temporary heating <br />to maintain <br />coils, air handling units or unit heaters, etc. necessary <br />specified temperature range. <br />B. General Contractor shall pay for all fuel used for temporary heat. Where <br />is connected to <br />permanent heating system is used for temporary heat and <br />' <br />5264 SECTION 01500 -.1 <br />
