fl <br />DIVISION 2 <br />' <br />SITE WORK <br />r <br />02512 - SITE CONCRETE <br />1. <br />GENERAL <br />A. <br />The Contractor shall furnish all labor, materials, tools, equipment and <br />perform all work and services necessary for or incidental to the <br />furnishing and installation complete, of all concrete sidewalks, <br />platforms, curbs, alley and other incidental concrete itLWjs as shown on <br />drawings and as specified, in accordance with provisions of the Contract <br />Documents, and completely coordinated with work of all other trades. <br />B. <br />Although such work is not specifically shown or specified, all <br />supplementary or miscellaneous items, appurtenances and devices incidental <br />to or necessary for a sound, secure and complete installation shall be <br />furnished and installed as part of this work. <br />C. <br />Work of this section occurring on public property shall be constructed in <br />accordance with all laws, ordinances, rules, regulations and orders of any <br />public authority having jurisdiction. Where such work is required to be <br />constructed in a manner differing from the Contract Documents, the <br />r <br />Contractor shall notify the Architect before proceeding with the work. <br />Z. <br />QUALITY ASSURANCE <br />A. <br />Codes and Standards: ACI 301 "Specifications for Structural Concrete for <br />Building", ACI 347 "Recommended Practice for Concrete Formwork" ACI 304 <br />"Recommended Practice for Measuring, Mixing, Transporting, and Placing <br />Concrete", comply with applicable provisions except as otherwise <br />indicated. <br />3. <br />MATERIALS <br />A. <br />Comply with applicable requirements of Division 3 Concrete for Materials <br />Testing, Mixing, Placing and Curing of Site Concrete. <br />B. <br />Concrete: Provide concrete with a compressive strength of 4000 psi at 28 <br />days. Use air -entraining admixture in all concrete. <br />C. <br />Reinforcing Material: Reinforcing Bars: ASTM A615, Grade 40 or 60. <br />Welded Wire Fabric: ASTM A185. <br />D. <br />Expansion Joint Filler: For exterior slab, joint filler shall conform to <br />ASTM D-1751-73 fiber expansion joint with bituminous binder or ASTM D- <br />1752-67 Type II cork board expansion joint with resin binder. <br />E. <br />Expansion joint sealer: Seal all exterior slab joints with a hot -poured <br />rubberized, asphalt sealing compound conforming to ASTM D-1190. <br />r <br />F. <br />Curing Compound: See Section 03300 - Cast -in -Place Concrete. <br />5264 <br />SECTION 02512 - 1 <br />I <br />
