GENERAL <br />A. The Contractor shall furnish all labor, materials, tools, equipment, and <br />perform all work and services necessary for or incidental to the <br />furnishing and installation complete of all concrete reinforcing work as <br />shown on drawings and as specified, in accordance with provisions of the <br />Contract Documents, and completely coordinated with that of all other <br />trades. <br />B. Although such work is not specifically shown or specified, all <br />supplementary or miscellaneous items, appurtenances, and devic^s <br />incidental to or necessary for a sound, secure and complete installation <br />shall be furnished and installed as; part of this work. <br />C. The American Society for Testing and Materials (ASTM), the American <br />Concrete Institute (ACI), the Portland Cemedt Association, the Concrete <br />Reinforcing Steel Institute (CRSI), the local Building Code, or other <br />published standards, shall govern the requirements of the current <br />specification or standard listed. <br />2. SUBMITTALS <br />A. Submit shop drawings, showing all fabrication dimensions and locations for <br />placing of reinifo►cing steel and accessories for approval. Shop drawings <br />shall be in sufficient detail to permit installation of reinforcing <br />tithout reference to the Contract Drawings. Obtain approval before <br />fabrication. <br />B. Details of concrete reinforcement and accessories not covered herein shall <br />be in accord with ACI 315. <br />3. MATERIALS <br />A. Reinforcing Bars - shall be cf intermediate grade steel meeting the <br />requirements of the "Standard Specifications for Billet -Steel Concrete <br />Reinforcement Bars" - ASTM A615 Grade 60. <br />B. Deformed Bars - shall be used except where plain bars are specified. <br />Deformations to conform to ASTM A615. <br />C. Accessories - shall be provided by and laid out by the reinforcing steel <br />supplier. They shall conform to the ACI 315 "Manual of Standard Practice <br />for Detailing Reinforced Concrete Structures". <br />5264 <br />Include also the necessary ties, chairs, and other accessories required <br />for support and spacing of the reinforcing steel. <br />Metal accessories shall be galvanized where lugs will be exposed in <br />finished concrete surfaces.
