Show member size and location; size, location and quantity of <br />all reinforcing bars and prestressing strands; initial prestress forces; <br />size and location of all openings, anticipated camber, fabricator details, <br />embedded inserts, plates, etc., connection and anchorage details, and <br />required concrete strengths. On erection plans identify each unit using <br />same standard marking numbers as used to mark actual units. <br />C. Submit calculations with shop drawings for members designed by <br />fabricator. Completely show design for <br />all monuments, shears, and other <br />forces. Calculations will be retained. <br />4. <br />MATERIALS <br />A. <br />Cement: C0mp'1y with ASTM C-150. <br />B. <br />Aggregates: Comply with ASTM C-33. <br />C. <br />Water: Clean and free of injurious and deleterious substances. <br />D. <br />Prestressing strands: Either 250K or 270K highncated <br />seven wire strand, stress relieved nwires sile shave gbeen ufor <br />as a unit after ed <br />into a strand. Manufacture and test strandt in acordance with ASTM A-416. <br />E. <br />Reinforcing steel including stirrups: Comply with ASTM A-6159Grade 60. <br />Column ties: Comply with ASTM A-615, Grade <br />F. <br />40. <br />Welded <br />wire fabric: Comply with ASTM - <br />A 185 . <br />G. <br />Plates cast into units: Comply with ASTM A-36. <br />H. <br />Vossco Bearing Pads: Provide pads of size and thickness indicated. Pads <br />are a blend of fiber and <br />rubber with a hardness of shore of 85 + 5. <br />I. <br />Grout for columns and beams: Non -shrinking 28 day compressive strength of <br />5000 <br />psi. <br />5. <br />CONCRETE STRENGTH AND PROPORTIONS <br />A. <br />Concrete strength for all units: Minimum of 5000 psi. <br />B. <br />Concrete strength at time of <br />9 strand release for prestressed members: <br />Minimum of 3500 <br />psi. <br />C. <br />Weight of sack of cement: 94 lbs. <br />D. <br />Concrete proportions: <br />I. <br />Minimum cement content: 7.0 sacks per cubic yard. <br />5264 <br />SECTION 03430 -2 <br />1 <br />
