1 <br />DIVISION 3 <br />CONCRETE <br />03430 - STRUCTURAL PRECAST, <br />PRESTRESSED CONCRETE <br />D. <br />Place, align and level the members in final position in the structure on <br />the accepted bearing surfaces. Differential <br />camber between adjacent units <br />shall be kept within the limits outlined in Division V, Section 5 of PCI <br />' <br />MNL-116. <br />E. <br />Field weld prestressed members to each other, or to supporting structural <br />members, as shown <br />on the contract or shop drawings. Employ only welding <br />operators who are thoroughly qualified and experienced to perform required <br />welding. All welding shall comply with American Welding Society AWS <br />D1.0. Use only E70 electrodes which conform to AWS A5.1. <br />F. <br />Grouting. Grout shall be a mixture of not less than one part Portland <br />cement to 3 parts fine sand and latex liquid, and the consistency shall be <br />such that joints be <br />e <br />can completely filled out but without seepage over <br />adjacent surfaces. Any grout that seeps from the joint shall be <br />completely removed before it hardens. <br />1. Grout for the joints between garage level and first floor slab shall <br />be placed from the top of the slabs, and finished on the underside <br />before hardening by the following procedure, as applicable. <br />In <br />a. areas where slabs willbe used exposed or painted as the <br />finished ceiling, rake joints 1/2" deep, fill and smooth. <br />G. <br />Deliver and erect flat slabs as shown and in accordance with plank <br />manufacturer's requirements. Set units with bottom straight to form a <br />flat surface. Provide steel hanger headers for support of cut plank. <br />Chalk out and cut exact edges of plank and all openings shown on plans <br />after plank has been set. Core drilled openings and openings not shown <br />will be cut by the respective trade. Grout all keyways, recesses and <br />voids after deck has been placed. <br />H. <br />Deliver and erect columns and beams as shown in accordance with <br />manufacturer's requirements. Plumb, align, adjust and grout as necessary <br />to meet accepted tolerances. <br />1. Variation from plumb, 1/4" for entire length for columns. <br />2. Variation from level, 3/8" in 20' length; 3/4" for entire length <br />unless otherwise required by plans. <br />11. INSERTS AND SLEEVES <br />A. Provide and accurately place inserts and sleeves cast into units where <br />called for on plans.
