GENERAL <br />A. The Contractor shall furnish all labor, materials, tools, equipment, and <br />perform all work and services necessary for or incidental to the <br />furnishing and installation, complete, of all miscellaneous metals as <br />shown on the drawings and as specified, in accordance with the provisions <br />of the Contract Documents, and completely coordinated with work of all <br />other trades. <br />B. Although such work is not specifically shown or specified, furnish and <br />install all supplementary or miscellaneous items, appurtenances and <br />devices incidental to or necessary for a sound, secure and complete <br />installation. <br />C. Custom fabricated metal items and certain manufactured units not otherwise <br />indicated to be supplied under work of other sections within this <br />specification, shall be furnished under this section. A general reference <br />guide is included for Contractor's convenience. It is not intended to be <br />complete listing of all miscellaneous metal items. It is Contractor's <br />responsibility to verify all field conditions prior to fabrication. <br />2. SUBMITTALS <br />A. Submit shop drawings for fabrication and erection of assemblies. Include <br />plans and elevations at minimum 1" to 12" scale, and include details of <br />sections and connections at minimum 3" to 12" scale. Show anchorage and <br />accessory items. <br />B. Provide finish samples when requested by Architect. <br />3. MATERIALS, GENERAL <br />A. The following references provide minimum standards as they apply to <br />specific items. <br />Bolts: ASTM A-307, A-3251, A-354 <br />Filler Metal: AWS Standards <br />Cast Iron: ASTM A-38, Class 30, Min. 30,000 psi tensile <br />Malleable Iron: ASTM A-47 , 4nd A-197 <br />Steel Pipe: ASTM A-53 <br />Steel: ASTM A-36 (galvanized where required) <br />Sheet Steel: ASTM A-535 (galvanized where required) <br />B. Masonry Anchorage Devices: Expansion shields complying with F.S. FF-S- <br />325, as follows: Lead expansion shields for machine screws and bolts 1/4" <br />and small^r; heat -out embedded nut type, single unit class, Group 1, Type <br />1, Class 1, larger than 1/4", Group 1, Type 1, Class 2.
