1 <br />DIVISION 6 <br />WOOD AND PLASTICS <br />06110 - ROUGH CARPENTRY <br />1. <br />GENERAL <br />A. <br />The Contractor shall furnish all labor, materials, tools, equipment, and <br />perform all work and services necessary for or incidental to the <br />furnishing and installation, complete, of all rough carpentry as shown on <br />the drawings and as specified, in accordance with the provisions of the <br />Contract Documents, and completely coordinated with work of all other <br />trades. <br />B. <br />Although such work is not specifically shown or specified, furnish and <br />install all supplementary or miscellaneous items, appurtenances and <br />devices incidental to or necessary for a sound, secure and complete <br />installation. <br />C. <br />Related items that are specified elsewhere: <br />1. Section 12520 - Window Treatment <br />2. <br />MATERIALS <br />A. <br />Grade, size and pattern: Lumber shall bear the official mark of the <br />Inspection Bureau of Association under whose rules it is graded or in lieu <br />thereof conform to "Standard Grading and Dressing Rules No. 17" of West <br />Coast Lumber Inspection Bureau for Lumber. Sizes shown on drawings are <br />nominal. Lumber shall be surfaced four sides, tongued and grooved, ship <br />lap or worked to such patterns as are indicated on the drawings or <br />specified. Finish sizes shall conform to yard size standards of American <br />Lumber Standards, worked lumber material, except as otherwise indicated on <br />the drawings, shall conform to American Lumber Standard patterns. <br />B. <br />Framing design shall be in accordance with NFPA National Design <br />Specification for Stress -Grade Lumber and its Fastening. NFPA, Span <br />Tables for framing when such spans are not determined by structural <br />analysis. <br />5264 <br />SECTION 06110 -1- <br />
