Moisture Content: The moisture content of lumber shall conform to the <br />seasoning requirements of grading rules of the Inspection Bureau of <br />n under which it is urchased, except that doors, frames, sash, <br />Association P <br />window frames and other finish work, the moisture content shall not exceed <br />12% and for common boards for sheathing, sub -flooring work of like nature, <br />with moisture content shall not exceed 16%. <br />D. <br />Wood materials built into or in contact with exterior masonry or concrete, <br />or a part of deck construction, or where indicated on the plans, shall be <br />pressure treated with Wolman Salts or equal with not less than 0.35 lbs. <br />of salt injected for each cubic foot of wood. Provide manufacturer's <br />certification that wood so used has been treated as specified. <br />E. <br />Where fire -retardant treated lumber or plywood is indicated, comply with <br />AWPC C-208 to achieve a flame spread rating under 25 per ASTM E84. Use <br />treatment which will not bleed through or adversely affect bond of any <br />applied finish. Provide UL label or certificate on each piece of fire - <br />retardant treated lumber and plywood. <br />F. <br />Laminated headers, beams and floor joist: Laminated veneer lumber members <br />and floor truss joist as manufactured by Trus Joist Corp.
