DESCRIPTION OF THE EXISTING ROSEVILLE FIRE SERVICES: The City of Roseville is protected by a part time fire department. The department is currently authorized to have 80 members. Two of the fire stations are manned by skeleton crews (two fire fighters per station) during the evening and night hours (from 6:00 pm until 6:00 am). These two stations are also manned all day Sunday. The staffing of the stations at night and on weekends provides almost immediate response of apparatus.. Additional 1 personnel are notified by pager and respond to the closest station to provide additional staffing. During weekday hours (Monday through Friday 6:00 am to 6:00 pm) no personnel are assigned to staff the stations. Fire personnel are notified by pager and respond to the closest station.. Personnel available during the day are typically Ctime ity x persons working evening o r night shifts for afull eemployer, p self-employed persons, or persons who have h permission from their- employer to leave for fire fighting activities. A mutual aid agreement exists with all of the neighboring departments whereby Roseville can give or receive assistance in the way of equipment and/or manpower. The department operates several pieces of fire fighting apparatus from three stations. Station #1 is located at the intersection of Lexington and Woodhill adjacent to the Roseville City Hall. Station #2 is located on Fairview Avenue just north of the Rosedale Sh opping Center. Station #3 is located on Dale Street between County Road B2 and Highway 36. All three of the fire stations are located on major north -south arterial streets. Maximum response time from the closest fire station to the most remote location is estimated to be four minutes. The apartment project being proposed on the Reiling/CanAm site is located just north of Fire Station #1. The apartment project being proposed on the Concordia site is located just east of Fire Station #3.
