DESCRIPTION OF THE EXISTING ROSEVILLE FIRE SERVICES: <br />The City of Roseville is protected by a part time fire <br />department. The department is <br />currently authorized to have 80 <br />members. Two of the fire stations <br />are manned by skeleton crews <br />(two fire fighters per station) during the evening <br />and night <br />hours (from 6:00 pm until 6:00 am). These two stations are also <br />manned all day Sunday. The staffing of the stations at night and <br />on weekends provides almost immediate response of apparatus.. <br />Additional <br />1 <br />personnel are notified by pager and respond to the <br />closest station to provide additional staffing. <br />During weekday hours (Monday through Friday 6:00 am to 6:00 pm) <br />no personnel are assigned to staff the stations. Fire personnel <br />are notified by <br />pager and respond to the closest station.. <br />Personnel available during the day are typically <br />Ctime ity <br />x <br />persons working evening o r night shifts for afull eemployer, <br />p <br />self-employed persons, or persons who have h permission from their- <br />employer to leave for fire fighting <br />activities. <br />A mutual aid agreement exists with all of the neighboring <br />departments whereby Roseville can <br />give or receive assistance in <br />the way of equipment and/or manpower. <br />The department operates several pieces of fire fighting apparatus <br />from three stations. Station #1 is located <br />at the intersection <br />of Lexington and Woodhill adjacent to the Roseville City Hall. <br />Station #2 is located on Fairview Avenue just north of the <br />Rosedale Sh <br />opping Center. Station #3 is located on Dale Street <br />between County Road B2 and Highway 36. All three of the fire <br />stations are located on major north -south arterial streets. <br />Maximum response time from the closest fire station to the most <br />remote location is estimated to be four minutes. <br />The apartment project being proposed on the Reiling/CanAm site is <br />located just north of Fire Station #1. <br />The apartment project being proposed on the Concordia site is <br />located just east of Fire Station #3. <br />
