Is it
possible for Roseville to purchase the ten acres in question from Concordia to
keep as open space or recreational space to maintain the property values of
our city? In the long run, income from property taxes will remain higher from
the community as a whole if the desirability of living in Roseville is
perpetuated. This higher, overall income will compensate for income that
might be lost from non development of Concordia s ten acres.
In the case of increased housing density, more is not always, better. In the
case of increased open space, more is generally better. We suspect that
Roseville citizens would support a tax in rease for the purpose of protecting
open space.
Yours trul ,
LeRoy & Jean.Johnson
