We recommend that the placement of utilities
consider the soil conditions encountered on this site. In our opinion,
it would be advisable to plan the utilities as far east on this site as
possible to reduce the amount of earthwork required in utility areas.
If swamp deposits are encountered in utility areas these soils should
be excavated and a compacted fill should be placed to grade.
OBSER`JATION AND TESTING
At the time of our field work, the building location had not been
determined. The intent of the borings at this time was to provide
preliminary information with regards to soil conditions on this site.
We request that you contact us after the building location has been
determined so that we can review the boring information in order to
determine if additional borings will be required in some other areas of
this site.
Soil conditions can and often do vary between boring locations. We
therefore recommend the bottom of excavation be observed by a
geotechnical engineer prior to any fill or footing placement.
Moisture -density tests should also be taken in compacted fill placed
below footings and floor slabs, in backfill areas and in compacted
fill placed in parking and roadway areas.
SOIL exc.3.ORBti®n
