<br />I am deeply disturbed at the way the scenario has unfolded regarding the
<br />proposed project of Housing Alliance for 500 W. County Rai. B.
<br />For example, something that is commonly overlooked in the telling of the 'tale,
<br />is that in -the beginning we as neighbors; were in favor of the project. Dare I
<br />say, we were even excited About what was proposed. The initial picture was that
<br />it would be 100 units, situated in the middle of the Scwart:z truck farm, and it
<br />would be no higher than 3 stories, Our concerns began to mount when we realized
<br />that this thing was taking off, and going very strong and it was huge and standing
<br />not in rile middle of the property, hut- shoved against t;he eastern end ... and that
<br />all of this was happening without retard for how we felt. We have asked many
<br />questions only to receive evasion or riuicule. As you are ,rv=lrt�, we have not
<br />asked our questions amongst just Ourselves, we have sought ar.,-,weyrs publicLy from
<br />Housing-.1liance in Planning CommiSsion irtttlt;ings, and the _it.,' ".:)uncil, in home
<br />meetings (which we have had to initiate 3 ,.>ut, Of 5 tim•as), and at meetings at
<br />Roseville L,uthtar,an 1'hurch.
<br />What has amazed me Ls that Housing ALl.iance, nor l:osevilla has come to us
<br />as neighbors and apologi^ed for their actions which have preli_:c`d such :,trong neg-
<br />Live feelings in the neighborhood. Isn't it a l.ittl�' strange' that something which
<br />started with the :approval of the neighborhood has ended %,ith such strong feelings
