. <br />REQUEST FOR COUNCIL ACTION DATE: 9/09/85 <br />ITEM NO.: B . L / <br />Department Approval: <br />Manager Reviewed: Agenda Section: <br />Hearings <br />Item Description: Terry Huiras Request for Preliminary Plat at <br />2550 North Snelling. <br />Initially Mr. Huiras requested a lot split in order to construct <br />a new home. However, he was informed that a lot split could not <br />be accomplished in the az,.;a, and the parcels in question should <br />be platted. <br />Mr. Huiras has now submitted a preliminary plat, and the Planning <br />Commission, at its September 4, 1985 meeting, unakiimously voted <br />to approve said plat with the following conditions: <br />1. That lot numbers be assigned to each parcel. <br />2. That the appropriate dedication of right-of-way take place (7 <br />feet on the northern area of the parcel, 3 feet on the southern <br />area of the parcel). <br />3. That a petition for street and utility improvements be forthcoming. <br />The street should be 24 feet in width, with parking restrictions <br />on both sides. <br />4. That there is a two year time limit to construct the home until <br />existing garage would have to be removed. <br />5. That staff review potential easement needs. (There was also <br />a motion that died, for lack of a second, that would have asked <br />the Council to review less costly alternatives for the street and <br />utility costs.) <br />COUNCIL ACTION REQUESTED: <br />Motion approving/denying Huiras preliminary plat request at 2550 <br />North Snelling. <br />The Council may wish to attach Planning Commision conditions. <br />
