Andre, Manager
City of Roseville
2660 Civic Center Drive
Roseville, MN 55113
RE: City of Roseville
Comprehensive Plan Amendment Review
Shopping Center, CR C and Snelling
Metropolitan Council Referral File No. 11801-7
Dear Mr. Andre:
Metropolitan Council
300 Metro Square Building
Seventh and Robert Streets
St. Paul, Minnesot. "r-101
Telephone (612) 291-6359
At its meeting on October 91 19869 the Metropolitan Council considered the
amendment to Roseville's comprehensive plan. This considerate^n was based on
the following statement from the Consent List which was adopted 6y the Council:
This plan amendment proposes to amend the city's Land Use Plan Map fcr a 10-
acre parcel at the intersection of Snelling Avenue and Co. Rd. C from
Industrial to Business. The Roseville amendment is in conformity with
metropolitan system plans, consistent with other chapters of the
Metropolitan Development Guide and compatible with the plans of adjacent
communities. The city should be informed that the interchange indicated at
the intersection of Snelling Avenue and Co. Rd. C has not been constructed,
nor does MN/DOT have any plans to construct it in the future. It should be
removed from the Land Use Plan Map. In addition, the city should consult
with MN/DOT regarding the status of access control on southbound Snelling
Avenue. If MN/DOT owns the access, no openings will be allowed directly to
Snelling Avenue and all access must be provided from Co. Rd. C or frontage
roads.
The Council approved this staff report as its comments on the plan amendment.
Sincerely,
:50
Sandra S.
