1
Mr. Howard Dahlgren, City Planner
August 26, 1986
'
Comm. No. 85-01-0093-21
Page four
BUILDING TYPE
The building materials for the retail center were selected for their high
and maintenance
quality free characteristics. The primary building material
is brick, which is used on all sides
of the building, a stucco accent band and
columns and fixed glass storefronts. Brick soldier
course accent bands extend
around the building and define the signband. A curved stucco band at the
bottom of the signband provides a smooth transition for the soffit below,
thus reducing the
mass of the brick front. Curved brick fin walls along the
exterior covered walkway extend up above the roof lines and break up the
horizontal bands
into small segments.
There are several trash rooms around the perimeter of the west side of the
building which will contain the
trash dumpsters. This will reduce scattered
debris and enhance any view an adjacent property owner may have of the retail
center.
We are very excited about the opportunity to be involved in the redevelopment
of this area in Roseville and feel that this retail center will be a valued
addition to the City. We have worked with the City Planning Staff for several
months to ,plan the best possible project and will continue to do su as any
refinements may be made.
If you should have any questions regarding this submittal, please do not
hesitate to contact us.
Sincere
ly,
KURSUNSKY KRANK ERICKSUN ARCHITECTS, INC.
*IWU4. &,—
Thomas E.
