DATE:
I ):
FROM:
SUBJECT:
M E M O R A N D U M
February 5, 1991
sig A. Waldron
Rick Jopke 0
Pl.'-ential Access
Reiling's Property
Easements to Lake Owasso across
I reviewed this with Doug and there appears to be two p- ential
alternatives for access. Alternative 1 would be to utilize the
existing utility easement. The easement would have to be re-
defined to include public access or similar language. Also,
approximately half way to the lake within the easement is a
flared end section and rock riprap which would pose a hazard to
pedestrians going to the lake. The pipe would also make it
difficult to dig a channel for canoe access.
Alternative 2 would be to require a new 20 foot wide easement
which would be centered on the line between outlot A and outlot
B. In looking at an aerial, there appears to be a small channel
through the marsh which this easement could connect to. The
problem with this alternative is there is quite a grade change
t
coming from Victoria down to the lake which would have to be
altered to safely get people down to the lake or to build some
kind of a channel.
I have attached a quick drawing which shows these two
alternatives.
1 1
