City of Roseville Memo
Community Development Department Nov 6, 1996
TO: Steve North, Assistant City Manager
FROM: Mike Falk, City Planner (490-2236)
RE: George Reiling Preliminary Plat at Owasso and Victoria
You asked for further information on the above project.
George Reiling proposed a preliminary plat at 2815 Victoria Street in 1988.
The plat consisted of 10 lots. A number of issues were involved with this
plat including the following:
Park Dedication - Mr. Reling objected to park dedication. Later
he indicated he would dedicate one half acre of marsh land to
satisfy the dedication requirement. The Parks Advisory
Commission recommended that the park dedication be in cash
because the marsh was not accessible to the public. Ultimately
the city approved the preliminary plat.
However after a sa.ries of meetings took place in 1988-89, on January 22,
1990, the City Council reviewed the plat, and denied the request for the
final plat on February 12, 1990.
Section 1102.01 E2 states that approval of a preliminary plat shall not be
considered approval of the final plat. The Council actually denied final plat
and therefore nothing is pending on this site. A new series of hearing would
be required and the site is now subject to the new shoreland ordinances.
Attachments
