s. Water Control Structure - Work or placement of fill material in <br />waterbodies to construct structures designed to stabilize the water levels <br />of a waterbody. This general permit authorizes any fill or structure which <br />allows artificial manipulation of water levels, except those which create a <br />water head exceeding 6 feet in height, or impound more than 15 acrefeet <br />of water. The project must be regulated and approved under appropriate <br />state laws and rules. <br />(Note: The activities listed above may be combined and still meet the <br />provisions of this general permit. For example: a harbor project requiring <br />dredging, jetties, cofferdams or caissons, bank stabilization, piers, <br />wharfs, boat ramps, and a channel connection could be covered by this <br />general permit provided the activities individually and in combination meet <br />all appropriate criteria.) <br />MM <br />
