•
OFFICE HOURS
JANUARY 15, AND JANUARY 22, 1986
•
1. First Minnesota, 489•-8041
First Minnesota Federal Savings and Loan (formerly First
Federal and Minnesota Federal) is keeping and expanding
its Lexington Avenue location (north of Larpenteur), and
closing the branch north of Rosedale. Jim Moeller, Duane
Myron, Chuck Merta, Dennis Drews, and Alden Morrison,
Architects, were in to discuss their proposal to expand the
drive-in facilities at the Lexington Avenue site. They
anticipate business at this site expanding considerably,
picking up the slack from the closed site at Rosedale.
We suggested strongly that this site is now inadequate, and
that some of their employees are being directed to park in
the residential street to the northwest. We suggested they
acquire the old Kugler property to the west, and contiguous
to their property. We had discussed this in the past,
suggesting that they make this move on two previous occasions
when we've met to discuss this expansion proposal.
Ste did not review specifics of the plans they brought with
them, suggesting that they pursue site expansion first. We
agree that if the site is expandea, better drive-in facilities
can be developed on the west side of the existing structure,
rather than on the south side as currently proposed.
