He is
contemplating tearing down the house and remodeling the
building for office purposes. This site is, of course,
difficult to develop by itself for lack of frontage on a
business street. Access from Lexington is via a private
easement which forms the alley behind the shopping
center. We are, however, encouraging Minnesota Federal
to consider this site because it would make logical
expansion for them.
Mr. Bordson also notes that the employees from Minnesota
Federal park on Dionne Street northwest of the Kugler
site. this is further indication that Minnesota Federal
should purchase this property so as to expand their
Savings and Loan property which is directly contiguous to
the east.
15. Minnesota Federal 298-6400. Duane Miran, Architect, and
Dennis Drews were in to review the expansion of Minnesota
Federal's drive -up facilities which we had discussed at
previous conferences with Minnesota Federal
representatives. This proposal expands the drive -up
facility, but removes some of the landsca.pe areas in the
process without increasing or decreasing the parking
capacity. We again emphasized the potential importance
of their acquiring the Kruger land noting that their
people are parking up on Dionne Street. They admit a
parking shortage on their property which could be
alleviate with the acquisition of the Kruger Property.
We suggested that their Senior Vice-president in charge
of Branches, Jack Hoffner, seriously consider this
Potential. We suggested Mr. Eioffner get in contact with
us regarding their over-all development prospects and
future.
