<br />VILLAGE OF ROSEVILLE <br /> <br />Regular Meeting of the Village Council Tuesdq, April 17, 1956 2 p.m. <br /> <br />The Village Council met on the above date with the following members present: <br />Salverda, Carlson, Kitts, Hammersten, and McGee. Robert Gearin, Attorney and <br />H1lner Carley, Village Engineer were also present. <br /> <br />Carlson Moved, Salverds. Seconded the minutes of the last meeting be approved. <br />Roll Call .qes (5)-Nayes (0). <br /> <br />A petition for the rezoning of the following described plat from Farm <br />Residential to Industrial was submitted to the Council by Warren Brennm. <br />!he South 660 feet of the Northeast ! of the Southwest i of Section 4, <br />Township 29, Range 23 and the Southeast i of the Southwest i of Section <br />4, Township 29, Range 23 except the South 700 feet thereof and except <br />the North 500 feet of the South 1200 feet of the West 450 feet thereof. <br />The abstract certificate was found to have the required llUDlber of signatures. <br />McGee Moved, Hammersten Seconded the matter be referred to the Planning Com- <br />mission for their study. Roll Call qes (5)-Nayes (0). <br /> <br />1he St. Paul Junior Chamber of Commerce extended by letter an invitation to <br />the Mqor to ride with various City and County Officials in the annual School <br />Police and Junior Sheriff Picnic Parade. The Chamber of Commerce would like <br />DQtifieatien of the Council's acceptance by May 1st, so that they may complete <br />arrangements. The Council members wiU notify the Chamber by tha time. <br /> <br />A letter was received from E. C. Bather of E. C. Bather and Associates <br />Engineering telling of his experience as an engineer. The letter was <br />referred to Mr. McGee. <br /> <br />A letter from Orville Freeman stated that the Governor's Traffic Safety <br />Conference will be held Mq 1st. at the Hotel Radisson, Minneapolis. <br />Council members are urged to attend. <br /> <br />A report on the Village Manager form of Government petition was made. <br />There are a sufficient number of qualified petitionel's signatures. <br />Kitts Moved, Salverda Seconded a special election beheld on May 22, 1956, <br />from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Roll Call Ayes (5)-Nayes (0). <br /> <br />Hammersten Moved, Carlson Seconded that Lund's Centennial Plat be approved. <br />Roll Call Ayes (5)-Nayes (0). <br /> <br />Hammersten Moved, CarlsoD Seconded Leslie Larson of Larson Bros. Const.ructiol'l <br />be ¡ranted a per.adt for the home he is building at 1497 Co. Rd. 0-2, providing <br />a double f.e is co1J.ected from him as he began construction before a permit <br />was granted. Roll Call qes (5)-Nayes (0). <br /> <br />A. letter from Hilner Carley stated the owner of Josephine Court is now ready' <br />to construct Dellwood Street fr_ Cee Rd. C-2 to Josephine Road. <br />Carlson Moved, Hammersten Seconded Dellwood Street be constructed according <br />to present ordinances.
