Metropolitan Council Meeting of April 9, 1987
Business Item: B-1
M E T R O P O L I T A N C 0 U N C I L
Suite 300 Metro Square Building, Saint Paul, Minnesota 55101
612-291-6359
REPORT OF THE METROPOLITAN AND COMMUNITY DEVELOPMEN•F COMMITTEE L''''•;'`
Referral Report No. 87-24
DATE. ",pr i 1 3, 1987
ti
TO: Metropolitan Council Y<•'
::'
SUBJECT: City of Roseville Environmental Assessment Worksheet (EAW), Rosewood
Corporate Center, Metropolitan Council Referral No. 14113-1, Council
District 3
BACKGROUND
At its meeting on April 2, 1987, the Metropolitan and Community Development
Committee discussed a staff report and recommendations dealing with the review
of the Rosewood Corporate Center EAW.
ISSUES AND CONCERNS
Barbara Senness, Council staff (ext. 419), presented the report and
answered questions from the Committee. B. Senness noted that the project is
located northwest of the Highway 36/135W interchange, rather than northeast as
indicatged in the report. She also indicated that a map would be attached to
the committee report.
RECOMMENDATIONS
That the Council adopt this report and the following conclusions as its
comments on the Rosewood Corporate Center EAW:
The slip ramp proposed to allow traffic from north of the development to exit
directly onto the frontage road is contrary to state, regional and federal
Policies for an interchange construction.
The EAW should identify the receiving body for stormwater runoff and assess the
impact of runoff on the water quality of the receiving body.
The EAW should address the r. tential for recycling of materials such as white
office paper, glass and aluminum and the potential for waste reduction.
Respectfully submitted,
Mary Hauser, Acting Chair
