SECTION 02460 - SOFTBALL FIELD AGGREGATE <br />PART 1. GENERAL <br />1.1 The work under this section of the specifications shall consist of <br />constructing the infield for the softball fields. <br />PART 2. PRODUCTS <br />2.1 Aggregate surfacing shall be 100% crushed rock dolomite limestone <br />with 100% passing No. 4 sieve and 35% passing No. 60 sieve, "Agri -Lime," <br />ballfield mix and manufactured by Bryan Rock Products, Shakopee, Minnesota. <br />PART 3. EXECUTION <br />3.1 Shape subgrade as shown on the drawings and compact the surface not <br />less than 90% of the maximum density given by ASTM D1557-70 (Modified <br />Proctor Density). <br />3.2 Construct the aggregate surfacing on the prepared subgrade as soon as <br />possible after final shaping and compaction of subgrade is completed. <br />3.3 Place the aggregate surfacing in two lifts and compact by "ordinary" <br />compaction methods (Mn/DOT Specification 2105.3F2). The total compacted <br />thickness shall not be less than 611, and deeper in the areas of the sub - <br />drain system. <br />C'1 <br />
