CASE NUMBER: 1544-84
APPLICANT:' Twin City Federal
Page 2
4. A variance is also required on the west side of the property where Twin
City -Federal proposes to construct a series of bollards to confine the
one-way traffic movement for vehicles who may chose to enter on the north
side of the site, but not drive through the drive -through facility. You
will notice that the entrance off of Sandhurst Drive will be an entrance
only, and'the driveway on Lexington will be for egress only. This will be
signed by directional signs being located just inside the property as is
provided for in our Sign Ordinance. Such signs are allowed to be a total
of 2.5 feet, and are similar to those placed along County Road B at the
entrances to HarMar Mall.
5. If the site is improved so as to constitute at least a 50 percent change,
the requirement fore the construction of sidewalks is triggered. This
would appear to call for the construction of a sidewalk along Sandhurst.
This not being a major thoroughfare with substantial businesses, however,
we suggest that this may not be necessary.
6. The action requested is for approval of a special use permit for the
approval of the plan for the drive -through facility, a variance to the
setback, as indicated on the plans dated 5 September 1984, to Lexington
Avenue and the contiguous property to the west.
